REVIEW PAPER ON DATABASE SYNCHRONIZATION BETWEEN LOCAL AND SERVER

    Get PDF
The basic objective of this paper is provide an algorithm to solve the problem , when all clients are relying on a single server. Due to planned server downtime or from server failures the database becomes unavailable; all of the remote workers will be disconnected from their data. Data is stored on their system (user system). When the user connected to the internet data automatically sink from their client system to the server in serial order and it also works on file handling. When the system is disconnected from the network all the files (images) uploaded by user, saved on the client machine folder when it is again connected to the server, automatically files (images) transferred from client to server

DroidMark – A Tool for Android Malware Detectionusing Taint Analysis and Bayesian Network

    Get PDF
With the increasing user-base of Android devices & advents of technologies such as Internet Banking, delicate user data is prone to be misused by malware and spyware applications. As the app-developer community increases, the quality reassurance could not be justified for every application and a possibility of data leakage arises. In this research, with the aim to ensure the application authenticity, Deep Learning methods and Taint Analysis are deployed on the applications. The detection system named DroidMark looks for possible sinks and sources of data leakage in the application by modelling Android’s lifecycles and callbacks, which is done by Reverse Engineering the APK, further monitoring the suspected processes and collecting data in different states of the application. DroidMark is thus designed to extract features from the applications which are fed to a trained Bayesian Network for classification of Malicious and Regular applications. The results indicate a high accuracy of 96.87% and an error rate of 3.13% in detection of Malware in Android devices

Techniques for text classification: Literature review and current trends

    Get PDF
Automated classification of text into predefined categories has always been considered as a vital method to manage and process a vast amount of documents in digital forms that are widespread and continuously increasing. This kind of web information, popularly known as the digital/electronic information is in the form of documents, conference material, publications, journals, editorials, web pages, e-mail etc. People largely access information from these online sources rather than being limited to archaic paper sources like books, magazines, newspapers etc. But the main problem is that this enormous information lacks organization which makes it difficult to manage. Text classification is recognized as one of the key techniques used for organizing such kind of digital data. In this paper we have studied the existing work in the area of text classification which will allow us to have a fair evaluation of the progress made in this field till date. We have investigated the papers to the best of our knowledge and have tried to summarize all existing information in a comprehensive and succinct manner. The studies have been summarized in a tabular form according to the publication year considering numerous key perspectives. The main emphasis is laid on various steps involved in text classification process viz. document representation methods, feature selection methods, data mining methods and the evaluation technique used by each study to carry out the results on a particular dataset

A Novel System for Growth of Single Crystals from the Melt with an Innovative New Pulling Mechanism

    Get PDF
665-670This paper describes a crystal growth system employing novel concepts in fabrication of a high temperature furnace, thermocouples and a novel crystal pulling mechanism. This has reduced the costs substantially, without compromising the quality of grown crystals. The core of the furnace, a wooden cylindrical dummy had been prepared with equi-spaced helical groves with widths equaling the diameter of the heating wire on its outer surface machined by a lathe machine. The Kanthal heating wire was wound in the groves. It was covered with a thick layer of natural clay available locally. After the clay had dried up, an electric current was passed through the heating wire and the wooden frame was burnt out. A thick layer of the clay was applied on the inner and the outer surfaces. The furnace can operate at temperatures up to about 1000 °C. The temperature was measured with a chromel-alumel thermocouple prepared by an ingenious spot-welding technique established in the laboratory. The seed holder was hanged above the melt kept in the crucible with help of a float kept in a water container, which has a small tap at the bottom. When the tap is opened the float goes down and the seed assembly goes up. In this manner a quality pulling system, without any motor has been developed and reported here. It has been possible to grow good quality crystals of potassium chloride with excellent diameter control

Semantic Web, deals with the meaning of information in a defined domain and Ontologies are the backbone of Semantic Web. Domain Ontologies are crucial source of information for knowledge-based system. Still, domain ontology development is a labor- intensive process and is highly dependent on developer's knowledge. In this work, a novel semiautomatic method is proposed to build an ontology on terrorism domain. Terrorism activities provide crucial information to enhance security system for any country worldwide. Social media data, namely, Twitter text data is extracted to attain latest information related to domain and next, concepts and relationships are identified and mapped using formal concept analysis. Several user-defined relationships are presented through fluent editor tool. Also, knowledge is extracted with the help of query-based system through a reasoner window of fluent editor. The developed domain ontology is published on web using ontology web language which can be utilized in other related application areas. The proposed work is significant as it develops a wide-coverage domain ontology for terrorism domain using a tool named Fluent Editor, in place of standard tool protégé and semantic information is extracted similar to query-based system with 100% accuracy
